Liposuction and suction liposculpting

The neck and jowls are sculpted in a while-awake comfortable procedure. The areas to be treated are first photographed and drawn on. For example, if jowls are present the borders will be drawn. The entire area to be treated is numbed using a dilute solution of lidocaine in a manner known as tumescent anesthesia. From 1-3 tiny poke entry points are made to allow our very small suction tools to pass through the skin into the underlying fat. One of our favorite tools is the PAL-650 from MicroAire® is a powerful, precision instrument designed for small- or large-volume fat extraction, body contouring and fat harvesting.   If a laser is to be used to further eliminate fat and aid in tightening the skin then it may be used before suctioning so that liquified fat can also be removed with suction.

Laser Liposculpting

We have 7 lasers that we use for laser lipo including the Smartlipo Triplex. Smartlipo Triplex is designed exclusively to perform laser-assisted lipolysis, commonly referred to as laser liposuction. A very thin tube containing the Smartlipo laser fiber is inserted into targeted fatty areas through a small entry point.  The laser fiber delivers thermal energy directly to fat cells and disrupts the fatty tissue, allowing the fat to be easily removed through gentle suction. The tissue around the area tightens through coagulation, contributing to an overall smoother shape. No stitches are required and you can get back to your regular activities the same day.
