ThermiTight for Skin Tightening and Wrinkle Reduction
ThermiTight is the first aesthetic procedure to deliver radio frequency (RF) energy above and under the skin to reverse the effects of aging. This in-office procedure is safe and effective in tightening sagging skin on the face, neck and body. The long lasting results can be seen in the first month, with continuous improvements over time. For some, ThermiTight may put off surgical procedures, such as a facelift or a necklift. In certain cases, two ThermiTight treatments may be needed to achieve a patient’s desired improvement.

ThermiTight is an FDA-approved technology that delivers exceptional results without undergoing major surgery. The ThermiTight procedure is minimally invasive, requires only local anesthesia and poses little to no downtime. The very tiny ThermiTight electrode is introduced below the surface to stimulate collagen and tighten loose skin and deeper tissues. The electrode is the size of a needle, so no stitches are needed. The thermal energy is controlled to effectively remodel the face, neck and body on men and women.

ThermiTight uses radio frequency energy to heat tissue underneath the surface of the skin, causing contraction and tightening of lax, loose skin. In addition to the lower face and neck, ThermiTight is used on areas of the body that can benefit from tightening or lifting. These areas include the breasts (may be combined with breast lipo-reduction), abdomen (to reduce wrinkly skin), upper arms and above the knees. Results with ThermiTight develop gradually and are long-lasting. The treatment itself typically takes less than one hour, and poses minimal post-treatment redness and swelling—many patients resume their normal activities right away!
The ThermiTight Experience
The ThermiTight procedure is performed through small needle punctures, using local anesthesia to make the procedure comfortable. The tiny ThermiTight probe is inserted and threaded underneath the skin. Sutures are not necessary. For this reason, ThermiTight is often referred to as the micro-invasive injectable RF.
During the ThermiTight treatment, a tiny probe is used to gently heat specific tissues to a pre-determined therapeutic temperature for a specific period of time. The tip of the tiny probe provides constant feedback of the internal temperature so the treatment always remains within safe, effective parameters. In addition, an infrared camera is used to monitor external skin temperature to ensure that treatment is both safe and effective.
After the treatment, a gentle wrap is applied. Most patients have minimal to no discomfort, allowing them to resume normal activities the next day. Some patients may experience slight swelling, redness and bruising, but adhering to the aftercare instructions will minimize these effects. A little numbness is normal.

Is ThermiTight a Substitute for a Facelift?
ThermiTight is a non-surgical alternative to a facelift/necklift. ThermiTight is an in-between procedure performed on patients that may not yet be ready for a facelift/necklift or patients that do not want to have a surgical procedure.
Can I combine ThermiTight with Other Procedures?
ThermiTight can be combined with other cosmetic procedures, such as laser liposuction. ThermiTight is frequently combined with liposuction to tighten skin in the treated area.
What Areas Can I ThermiTight?
ThermiTight can treat loose and sagging skin on the neck, breast, arms, abdomen, thighs, and knees.
How Long Does the Procedure Take and Where Will it be Performed?
The entire ThermiTight procedure is performed at our Milford, PA surgery and laser center and typically takes less than an hour, depending on the protocol, the treatment zone and whether you are combining ThermiTight with other procedures. Generally, only one treatment is needed to achieve desired results.
How Long Before I See Results?
Results can be immediate and will improve over time. Some patients have reported seeing results in as early as 12-14 days but more typically preliminary results are seen around 30 days. At 3 months most of the results are seen but they can continue to improve for about one year after the procedure.
How Long Will My ThermiTight Results Last?
ThermiTight causes long lasting tightening to the areas being treated. While the results are long lasting, the aging process does not stop.
