Laser Tattoo Removal
With the rising popularity of tattoos, there has been a simultaneous rise in the number of people who wish to have their tattoos removed. For some, tattoos represent an impulsive decision that now may affect the rest of their lives. For others, the tattoos from their youth are simply no longer relevant to their lives today. Laser tattoo removal can provide a solution.
The versatile MedLite® C6 EO Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers can reliably remove dark ink and red ink tattoos, as well as the increasingly common green and sky blue ink. Each color can pose challenges during laser tattoo removal if the correct wavelength is not available. Fortunately, the MedLite® C6 laser offer the correct wavelengths for full-color spectrum tattoo removal. How RevLite® and MedLite® C Series Lasers Work to Remove Tattoos
The MedLite® C Series EO Q-switched Nd:YAG laser represents the gold standard for tattoo removal. With multiple wavelengths to choose from, we can use the optimum wavelength that passes into the skin and is absorbed by a specific color ink, customizing the treatment for each patient and each individual tattoo. HOYA ConBio® lasers are engineered to force energy into the target molecules at such a high rate, they vibrate and shatter. This PhotoAcoustic effect breaks the ink down into tiny particles, which are gradually removed by the body’s natural filtering systems.
Professional tattoos, on average, require eight to fifteen or more treatments, while amateur tattoos require four or more sessions due to the different composition of inks. Treatments are spaced approximately six to eight weeks apart. With the use of a MedLite® C Series laser, we can achieve greater than 95 percent fading. That’s why the MedLite® laser is known worldwide as the first choice for multi-color tattoo removal.
Dark Ink Tattoo Removal with MedLite® C Series Lasers - 1064nm
With a long wavelength, short pulse duration, and high peak power output, the MedLite® aesthetic medical laser is able to effectively destroy dark chromophores (i.e., tattoo ink) with a very low risk of permanent tissue damage. When compared to lasers in the 600 to 800 nm range, the 1064 nm wavelength produced by a HOYA ConBio® laser lowers the risk of hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation. The short, rapid nanosecond pulse widths limit the build-up of heat, reducing the risk of scarring.
Red Ink Tattoo Removal with MedLite® C Series Lasers - 532nm
The shorter 532 nm wavelength found in the MedLite® laser is ideal for the removal of red ink, common in professional tattoos and typically resistant to 600 to 800 nm wavelengths. An assortment of wavelength options allows us to perform effective treatments on a variety of tattoos.
Green and Sky Blue Tattoo Removal with MedLite® C Series Lasers
The MultiLite Dye Laser Hand pieces compatible with HOYA ConBio® lasers convert the 532 nm wavelength to either 585 nm or 650 nm, effectively offering two additional wavelengths and providing an even broader range of options in tattoo removal and other aesthetic procedures. The 585 nm wavelength is ideal for sky blue inks and the 650 nm wavelength is used to treat green inks.
